Dr Alistair Murdoch
Chief Executive Officer (BSc BVMS MRCVS MBA)
Dr Alistair Murdoch owned and managed a major veterinary hospital group prior to moving into the animal health pharmaceutical sector. Dr Murdoch has held executive and advisory positions with major animal health pharmaceutical companies including Novartis, Schering Plough and Chemeq Ltd. With more than 25 years in the pharmaceutical sector, he brings a wealth of technical, regulatory, commercial and management experience to Spirogene.

Dr Bong Sze How
Chief Operations Officer (BSc Hons PhD)
Dr Bong Sze How is a degree qualified professional trained in both science and business. Prior to working for Spirogene, Dr Bong was the Chief Technology Analyst for the Murdoch Westscheme Enterprise Partnership Fund, and has been directly involved in the inception of six spin off companies from Murdoch University in the past 3 years, including Spirogene.

Professor David Hampson
Chief Scientific Officer (BVetMed, PhD, DSc, FASM, FAAM, FRCPath, FRCVS)
Professor David Hampson is the Professor of Veterinary Microbiology at Murdoch University. Professor Hampson has spent more than 20 years on Brachyspira research and is considered a world authority on the subject. To date, Professor Hampson has published more than 456 scientific articles and is the senior author on 7 patents. Drawing on his extensive knowledge of genomics, bioinformatics and epidemiology, Professor Hampson leads Spirogene scientific team in the development of novel vaccine and diagnostic candidates for Swine Dysentery and Avian Intestinal Spirochaetosis.
Dr Tom La
Research Leader (BSc Hons PhD)
Dr Tom La is a postdoctoral scientist who has worked on molecular biology, genomics and control of Brachyspira species for 11 years. Tom's PhD thesis was on development of vaccines and diagnostics for swine dysentery. One of the founders of Spirogene, Dr La is working closely with Professor Hampson to develop novel vaccine candidates and diagnostics for Swine Dysentery and Avian Intestinal Spirochaetosis.
Dr Nyree Phillips
Research Leader (BSc Hons PhD)
Dr Nyree Phillips is a postdoctoral scientist who has worked on the epidemiology of Brachyspira species for more than eight years. Nyree's PhD thesis was on the molecular epidemiology and control of avian intestinal spirochaetes. An expert in Avian Intestinal Spirochaetosis, Dr Phillips is leading the research team in the development of novel Brachyspira vaccines.
